Helping a patient get back to something they love to do is one of the most rewarding things in medicine, particularly after a major injury. Getting there is often an emotional and physical struggle, so working with patients through that process can be immensely rewarding.I treat a variety of conditions, including pelvic and acetabular fractures, fractures of the upper and lower extremities, foot and ankle injuries and tendon ruptures around the knee and ankle. I perform special procedures, including circular frame fixation for fractures and deformity (e.g. Ilizizarov technique) and percutaneous treatment of pelvic and acetabulum fractures.Recovery after a major trauma is complex and arduous — and it's a long process. I work with the patient as a partner as we go down that road, and a good result is the product of our efforts. There's a lot that goes into recovering well, too, with the emotional aspects of recovery just as important as the physical. Our clinic focuses on acknowledging all of that and being as holistic as possible in a patient's recovery.
