After 40 years in family medicine, I find my new role in treating patients with chronic pain to be professionally rewarding. At the Comprehensive Pain Program, we have the time and resources to address chronic pain in ways that were not possible in a busy family medicine practice.It’s incredibly fulfilling to help patients who have struggled with chronic pain for decades finally gain control and find relief from their burdens. This work is the most rewarding I have ever done.I focus exclusively on patients with chronic pain, utilizing a variety of integrative therapies while also offering consulting advice on traditional Western medicine options.The first step in providing this care is to give each patient ample time and my full attention to share their pain history and express their hopes and goals for recovery. Together, we implement comprehensive wrap-around care to relieve their pain and improve their quality of life.
