Description
I specialize in the treatment of cardiac disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology, usually seeing patients who have an electrical disorder of the heart. My expertise includes catheter ablation of complex arrhythmia, pacemaker and implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) implantation and cardiac resynchronization therapy for heart failure. I'm also actively involved with teaching at the UVM Larner College of Medicine and within the various residency programs at University of Vermont Medical Center.I was born in Vermont and raised in New Hampshire. I came back to Vermont and UVM for my undergraduate education, medical residency and cardiology fellowship training. My roots help me make personal connections with my patients, which I believe is very important in determining their treatment. I also appreciate being part of an academic medical center, which gives my patients access to the latest research and treatment options, not just in cardiology, but in all specialties.I reside in Charlotte, VT, with my wife, Chris, and our son, Jennings. I am active in coaching youth sports and enjoy ice hockey, biking, telemark skiing and stand-up paddle surfing.
